. Amusing scenes from 3 public domain exploitation and horror films. "Slaves in Bondage" (1937) has specialty fetish prostitutes rough-housing and spanking each other, "The Brain That Wouldn't Die" (1962) and "Horrors of Spider Island" (1960) feature cat fighting biotches (meow!). . "The Case of the Stripping Wives" (1966) is believed to be a lost sexploitation film. All that remains is this promotional theater trailer. Too bad, as it looks like fun. A typical nudie cutie that played in adults-only grind house venues at that time. By the late '60s these films became a bit more story-driven, instead of the passive voyeurism seen a few years earlier. Directed by Manuel Conde, who did a dozen forgettable nudies and softcore porn films. The cast are mostly one-shot...

Late-1960s comedy game show aired in a bizarre 25-minute time-slot. This video also includes the show that aired after it, the 5-minute "The Children's Doctor". Original commercials intact. If you upload this to YouTube, please make it clear that the series aired in a 25-minute time-slot. I don't see a copyright notice, so I suspect it is public domain, but I might be mistaken.

INNER SANCTUM MYSTERIES The anthology series featured stories of mystery, terror and suspense, and its tongue-in-cheek introductions were in sharp contrast to shows like Suspense and The Whistler . The early 1940s programs opened with Raymond Edward Johnson introducing himself as, "Your host, Raymond," in a mocking sardonic voice. A spooky melodramatic organ score (played by Lew White) punctuated Raymond's many morbid jokes and playful puns. Raymond's closing was an elongated...

CRIME CLASSICS Crime Classics came to CBS September 30, 1953 and was a neat little series of "true crime stories". This show introduces itself succinctly: "A series of true crime stories from the records and newspapers of every land, from every time. Your host each week, is Mr. Thomas Hyland -- connoisseur of crime, student of violence, and teller of murders. " Thomas Hyland is played by Lou Merrill, although you'd never know it was an "actor" doing the part. The...

ROGUE'S GALLERY Rogue's Gallery came to the Mutual network on September 27, 1945 with Dick Powell portraying Richard Rogue, a private detective who invariably ended up getting knocked out each week and spending his dream time in acerbic conversation with his subconscious self, Eugor. Powell played private detective Richard Rogue, who trailed luscious blondes, protected witness, and did whatever...

Davy captured the hearts of both young and old. The show was also a merchandising pioneer as coonskin caps sold like hotcakes. About 100 million dollars worth. (10 Episodes) “Meet Corliss Archer” The first broadcasting of CBS's “Meet Corliss Archer” (with Campbell's Soup as their sponsor) was April 28, 1946. "Meet Corliss Archer" (CBS’s version of NBC’s popular teenage program, “A Date With Judy”) was yet another program created to entice the younger (teenage) generation to leave extra-curricular activities far behind and hang out, instead, around the family radio. In 1948, Corliss moved from CBS radio to NBC radio, as a...
